Plumas - Sierra Seniors: Their Story

Edited by Ray Donnenwirth and Helen Kennedy, this book published by the Portola Area Historical Society chronicles the memories of Portola area (Eastern Plumas County and most of Sierra Valley) seniors. Most of the seniors interviewed had reached the age of 70 or had lived in the area for 40 or more years, and a number of those represented here have ties to this area which extend back over a century. This book is a sequel of sorts to the long out of print, "Eastern Plumas Memories" published in 2005, and is truly a window into the past and an entertaining look into the lives of the residents of Plumas County.
