Using documents, letters, and contemporary writings, the book not only covers the life of Isaac Harvey, but also has sections on his children and other descendants. This book includes a chapter on Isaac's time spent as a ranch owner in Plumas County and his life and times in Spanish Ranch. A thorough and entertaining study of a California pioneer and his legacy. This volume is the result of years of work by Isaac's granddaughter, Florence Baker, who unfortunately died before it could be completed and published. Illustrated throughout with b/w photos.
